Laura McDonnell
Interdisciplinary Biologist, PhD Candidate
NSERC Fellow, UM Fellow
Welcome
I am broadly interested in collaborative research on climate change & variability in aquatic systems and the impacts they have on fish and human users of the marine environment.
My doctoral project adopts an interdisciplinary approach to examine how sharks' tag-collected data can be integrated into ocean observation, climate models, and dynamic spatial management efforts.
Currently, I am a member of the University of Miami-based Climate Risks and Preparedness research group.
In Fall 2023, I will be joining the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution as a Postdoctoral Scholar.
